NANA ADJEI MENSAH ASSASIE SWORN IN AS AKAN CHIEF OF AMASAMAN
In a historic ceremony, the paramount chief and elders of the Amasaman traditional council inaugurated Nana Adjei Mensah Assasie, also known as Chairman Escojay, as the new Akan chief of Amasaman on August 17th and 18th, 2024.
The event, held at Amasaman in the Greater Accra region, was attended by prominent chiefs, elders, and community members. Nana Adjei Mensah expressed his gratitude to the paramount chief, Nii Amasa Oseiku II, Amasaman Mantse, and the elders for their support and trust.
In his acceptance speech, Nana Adjei Mensah emphasized his commitment to unity, peace, and development, stating that his top priorities include bringing progress and prosperity to the Akan community in Amasaman. He also announced plans to unite all Akans, promoting a sense of togetherness and cooperation.
The swearing-in ceremony featured traditional rites and blessings from the elders, signifying their endorsement of Nana Adjei Mensah's leadership. The community has expressed optimism about the new leadership and looks forward to the positive changes promised by Chairman Escojay.
