Nana Frimpomaa Congratulates Nigeria on their 64th Independence Anniversary
On the occasion of Nigeria's 64th Independence Day, Nana Frimpomaa, the very first female Presidential Candidate of Dr.Kwame Nkrumah's
Convention People's Party (CPP), extend warmest congratulations to the government and people of Nigeria.
"Today marks a significant milestone in Nigeria's journey, and I join the celebrations with immense pride and joy',she said
Nigeria, as Africa’s most populous nation and a cultural, economic, and political powerhouse, holds a vital place not only within the West African sub-region but across the continent.
I acknowledge Nigeria’s unwavering spirit of resilience, democracy, and unity, and its pivotal role in shaping Africa’s future.
As a presidential candidate of Ghana,Nana Frimpomaa recognize that the strength of African bilateral ties holds the key to regional growth and prosperity.
The relationship between Ghana and Nigeria is rooted in deep historical, economic, and cultural connections. Both nations share a commitment to democratic governance, peace, and development, and under her leadership as CPP chairperson, she pledge to further strengthen these bonds.
Her Excellency,Nana Frimpomaa established that her administration will work closely with Nigeria to foster deeper trade
relations, knowledge exchange, and joint efforts towards sub-regional security and stability under the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first president and founder of the CPP, played a critical role in supporting Nigeria’s independence movement.
His vision of Pan-Africanism, the decolonization of Africa, and unity of African nations remain aguiding light for African future.
It is upon Dr. Kwame Nkrumah enduring legacy that we stand, as we chart the next course for African nations to reclaim our economic sovereignty.
As Africa moves forward," it is clear that economic transformation will be the nextbattlefront for true independence. The debt crisis across our nations, rising inflation, and our dependency on foreign economies call for a bold new economic order"she stated.
The time has come for Africa to move from political independence to economic independence.
Inline with this, I have proposed the revolutionary concept of Ghanaian Shares—an economic initiative aimed at creating widespread ownership, investment, and equity for every citizen.
By formalizing the informal economy, increasing indigenous participation, and leveraging technological innovations, "I believe that Ghana and Nigeria can lead a new era of African prosperity, built on shared growth and economic empowerment". she said.
I commend Nigeria’s government for its efforts in maintaining peace and stability amidst global challenges and extend my appreciation to the remarkable women leaders and policymakers championing inclusion and development.
CPP Flag bearer,Nana Frimpomaa urge Ghanaian to reflect on this important day,by letting it be an opportunity to also renew our commitment to our youth and future generations. Africa’s future lies in empowering its young people through jobs, education, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
In conclusion, she congratulate Nigeria on this momentous occasion, wishing the country continued peace, prosperity, and progress. Together, let us build a stronger, united Africa that upholds the legacy of our ancestors and creates a brighter future for all.
Sincerely,
