Celebrating Six Years of Kenloi International School: Inspiring Unity, Digital Advancement, and Community Support

Kenloi International School marked its sixth anniversary with a vibrant celebration, featuring talent showcases, a heartfelt drama performance, and inspiring calls for unity and support within the community.

Students took center stage with exhibitions, displays of talent, and a drama focused on the importance of unity in Ghana’s current climate, encouraging families to stay together and foster peace as the nation approaches an election year.

“When there is discord, it is children and women who suffer the most,” said Proprietress Eva Tweneboah, highlighting the event’s message for parents to come together.

Reflecting on the school’s journey, Ms. Tweneboah expressed gratitude, acknowledging challenges such as fee payments, low initial enrollment, and the need for digital resources. “Opening a school is not easy, but by God’s grace, we’re growing,” she shared.

She also emphasized the school’s need for computers, appealing for government support and calling on parents and the community to continue aiding their children’s education. Many parents have already pledged their support.

Chief Iddi-Amin Fredous, the event’s guest speaker and a 2023 Ghana Teacher Award honoree, echoed these sentiments. He urged parents to “not only pay fees but also actively support their children’s educational journeys,” emphasizing the need for a supportive environment and digital facilities.

The event concluded with heartfelt words from other community leaders and supporters, who recognized the foundational role of education. “Our children are our future,” said one guest, “and we must continue to provide for their growth.”
