Rotary E-Club of Savannah Ghana Chartered, Launches GHS 650,000 Community Library Project

The Rotary E-Club of Savannah Ghana has been officially chartered, marking a significant milestone in its journey of service and impact. Chartered on 4th November 2024, the club celebrated its charter night on 14th December 2024 at the Best Western Premier Hotel, Airport Accra. The ceremony brought together Rotary leaders, dignitaries, and club members to commemorate the club’s achievements and ambitious plans for the future.
As part of its mission to address community challenges, the Rotary E-Club of Savannah Ghana is embarking on a flagship project to establish a GHS 650,000 Community Library in the East Gonja Municipal area of the Savannah Region. This state-of-the-art facility will feature traditional books, e-books, and advanced ICT resources, aiming to promote education and literacy throughout the region. The library will serve as a hub for learning, skill acquisition, and community development, especially for young people.

Charter President Lawuratu Musah-Saaka emphasized the significance of the project as a key step toward improving access to educational resources in the Savannah Region. The library reflects Rotary’s global commitment to advancing education, promoting literacy, and empowering communities to reach their full potential.
The charter night also featured a fundraiser in support of the library project, rallying contributions from attendees to help bring the vision to life. The generosity shown during the event marked an encouraging step toward achieving this transformative goal.
The evening was further highlighted by the induction of two new members into the Rotary E-Club of Savannah Ghana. These individuals pledged their commitment to advancing the club’s mission of service and contributing to impactful community initiatives.
