Jesus Rescue Team partner with Professional Christian Union, UPSA


Jesus Rescue Team in partnership with University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) hosted a vibrant and memorable celebration of love on Valentine's Day, organizing both a Valentine Worship Programme and a Movie Night for students and the broader university community. 



The events, which took place on the UPSA HostelA,B and C, brought together students from diverse backgrounds to share in the spirit of love, unity, and community




The Valentine Worship Programme featured an uplifting and spiritually enriching atmosphere, where students gathered for a time of reflection, relationship pep talks, music, salvation of souls and prayer alongside with inspirational messages focusing on love, kindness, and the importance of building strong community bonds.

Speaking with the press was Missionary Michael Davies, Lead Missionary and Founder Jesus Rescue Team emphasized that the Valentine celebration should not only about romantic love, but also to reconcile back to the first love of Christ including love for humanity, self-love, in other to strengthening the relationships within the UPSA family.




Furthermore, missionary Michael expressed his heartfelt gratitude to VC of UPSA Professor John Kwaku and to all Jesus rescue team, trustees and partners who has contributed immensely to the success of the program.


 Both events were well-attended, with students expressing their appreciation for the initiative, which allowed them to engage in meaningful activities outside of academics. 




The university plans to continue organizing similar events throughout the year to foster a sense of belonging and well-being among its students.


In the evening, the mood shifted to a more relaxed and fun atmosphere with the Valentine Movie Night, where students enjoyed a selection of faith-based love story movies.




Many students expressed their joy and called for more events like this, as it provided a great way to connect with friends, relax, and have fun while still embracing the spirit of love.


According to Gideon Ofori-Ankrah, the student Chaplin UPSA, shared that the goal of the program was to create an environment where students could take a break from academic stress and come together in unity.

 The Valentine Worship Programme allowed us to reflect on the deeper meanings of love, kindness, and how we can support each other as a community,Valentine Worship Programme and the Movie Night includes inspirational messages focusing on love, kindness, and the importance of building strong community bonds.


Movie Night served as a reminder that love comes in many forms whether through faith, friendship, or community and provided a beautiful way for students to celebrate Valentine’s Day together.
