YAWC Network Announces Landmark 10th Anniversary Global Convocation in Accra ‎

The Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network has officially announced that its flagship Annual Global Convocation is coming home. To celebrate a decade of impact, the landmark 10th-anniversary edition will be hosted in Accra, Ghana, from October 25th to 30th, 2026.

“The Journey Continues”
‎​Operating under the theme “The Empowerment Journey: Ten Years On,” the 2026 convocation serves as a critical juncture for the organization. Unlike a standard conference, this year’s event is designed as a high-level platform for reflection and strategic forecasting.

‎​Delegates will participate in a comprehensive assessment of the past decade’s initiatives, addressing systemic challenges while defining the roadmap for women’s leadership across Africa for the next ten years.

‎​A Continental Powerhouse Returns
‎​After successful rotations through nations including Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, and Rwanda, the convocation returns to its roots.
