"The industrialization of Ghana rests squarely in the hands of our youth, and this potential must not be undermined," Dr. Adzroe stated.

He strongly urged parents and guardians to prioritize technical and vocational education and training (TVET) when enrolling their children in school, noting that practical skills acquisition is the surest path to sustainable national development.

Reiterating the service's core mandate, Dr. Adzroe highlighted that TVET is committed to equipping every child with competitive capabilities to dramatically reduce youth unemployment.

He acknowledged the unwavering support of the government under the leadership of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama toward transforming the sector.

Rebranding TVET and Expanding Apprenticeships

Echoing these sentiments, the Deputy Director-General (Management Services) of the Ghana TVET Service, Abdul Fatah Maigah Mahama, Esq., stressed that changing the long-standing public perception of vocational training remains a top priority for the administration.

He explained that this transformation is being actively driven through targeted rebranding and strategic infrastructural funding.

Key among these initiatives is the national apprenticeship program, which targets training and upskilling over 10,000 young people annually across the country in diverse vocational disciplines.

Mr. Mahama further emphasized the service's commitment to forging robust synergies with public institutions and informal sector stakeholders—such as partnerships with developmental organizations like The OR Foundation and Mastercard-backed frameworks—to foster sustainable circular economies and expanded career pipelines for graduates.

The celebration also provided a platform for beneficiaries to share their success stories.

Millicent Naa Tetteh, a student from Tema Mission School, expressed profound gratitude to the Ghana TVET Service, noting how the transformative curriculum and practical exposure have reshaped her educational journey and career outlook.
