ARICS 2025 Launched to Drive Innovation and Collaboration Across Africa_

 


Heritors labs limited has launched The African Research and Innovation Commercialization Summit (ARICS) 2025 aimed at bringing together stakeholders from across the continent to drive innovation, collaboration, and commercialization of research outcomes.


The event took place on 21st November 2014 in Accra with the theme FROM LABS TO MARKETS: SCALING INDUSTRY UPTAKE FOR INNOVATION & RESEARCH OUTCOMES.

According to Barbara Edu, Development Program Lead for Heritage Labs and Project Lead for ARICS Global, the summit is a strategic platform for partnerships between the private sector, government, and other stakeholders.


"We are partnering with both private sector and government to devise topics that would reach the market and understand pathways needed for the Ghanaian community to scale up," Edu explained.


This year's summit takes a pan-African approach, bringing on board stakeholders from Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and other African countries. The goal is to avoid duplicated efforts and address issues that are relevant across the continent.


Edu emphasized the importance of collaboration and called on partners, governments, entrepreneurs, business associations, and innovators to come on board and showcase their innovations and research.


"The summit provides an opportunity for innovators to showcase their work and attract investors," Edu said. "We are hoping to get stakeholders who share the same objective as us and drive forward in this ecosystem."


ARICS 2025 promises to be a game-changer for innovation and research commercialization in Africa. With its focus on collaboration, pan-Africanism, and commercialization, the summit is set to unlock the continent's vast potential and drive sustainable development.

Furthermore Emmanuel Prince Amartey, general manager for heritors labs also added that in this 2025 Summit, the potential is there for Organisation to also look back on what was done previous year and then use that to more or less assess what we have done in the year and through that we will launch forward for 2026.  

 He also revealed that the team is from labs to market.  

 



"the team is from labs to market, moving research, scaling up research and innovation, commercializing, so we are looking at how we can scale up a lot of our research and innovation outcomes through this platform that we are creating" he stated
