HEALTH TALK ON MENSTRUAL CYCLE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NHIS
Achoribo Foundation in partnership with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) on Friday 14th March visited Ayenya D A Basic school in Accra to educate them on menstrual health and personal hygiene.
As part of the event the Head Master of the school extended his gratitudes to the foundation for their donations and having considered his school to do the donations.
Cephas Mensah, a student of Ayenya D.A Basic School, shares his excitement about the health education program that was brought to his school. 'We learned a lot about personal hygiene,' he says. 'We were taught how to take care of our fingernails and trim our hair properly.
Henry Akonor, an official from the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), underscored the significance of their collaboration with the NGO.
According to him, this partnership will have a profound impact, enabling the NHIS to extend its coverage to more communities, thereby ensuring that they are integrated into the scheme.
Speaking to the media, Alberta Naadu Lawson, the Founder of Achoribo Foundation, emphasizes the organization's mission as an empowerment to young minds in her community.

As a recent public health graduate, Alberta has taken the initiative upon herself to educate school-going children on personal hygiene, donating sanitary pads and deodorants to support their well-being.
Through her foundation, she visits schools, to create awareness on personal hygiene and put smiles on the faces of those in need.
