Build Lives, Not Walls”: Jesus Rescue Team Urges Spiritual Transformation Over Physical Cathedrals
In a remarkable spiritual initiative, Jesus Rescue Team Ministries partnered with the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) school of Prayer to host a transformative prayer retreat dubbed "The Secret Place." The event, held at Mmofra Park Dzowulu in Accra , which aimed to empower Christian students from Levels 100 through 400 to seek God earnestly as they navigate academic life.

Speaking to the media, Lead Missionary Michael Davies of Jesus Rescue Team Ministries, emphasized the strategic importance of collaborating with university prayer groups. He noted that one of the ministry’s core mandates is to rekindle the faith of students on campuses across Ghana.
He also commented on the former government's ambitious yet controversial plan to build the National Cathedral, Edeafix, which faced significant setbacks due to political complexities and stakeholder disputes. Missionary Davies urged believers to look beyond physical structures and embrace true spiritual transformation

“The real cathedral should be the reflection of Christ in our homes, communities, institutions, and daily lives,” he stated.

Addressing the gathering, Her Excellency Mrs. Matilda Nana Manye Amissah-Arthur, wife of the late former Vice President of Ghana and current National Coordinator of the Ladies of the Fellowship, FGBMFI Ghana, shared her life experiences on a topic “Navigating your spirituality and your career” and advised youth to prioritize their spiritual journey. She encouraged students to make the fear of God their guiding principle.

He further urged the government to protect local industries by limiting foreign competition and to continue promoting youth engagement in agriculture.
