OVER 1,800 SOULS WON IN EVANGELISM DRIVE BY PENSA-UPSA & JESUS RESCUE TEAM
In a powerful demonstration of faith and outreach, the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), in collaboration with the Jesus Rescue Team, embarked on a transformative mission to Akim Oda .
The spirit-led initiative, dubbed the “Akim Oda Missions Experience”, aimed at spreading the gospel of Christ, transforming lives, and bringing souls into the Kingdom. The team strategically divided into eleven districts to ensure extensive reach across the Akim Oda municipality.
Through house-to-house evangelism, school outreaches, crusades, and vibrant community engagements ,including movie nights and Bible distribution , the team saw a remarkable harvest of souls. According to the organizers, 1,056 souls were won through general outreach, while an additional 820 souls were reached during school evangelism sessions.
“The reception in the communities was inspiring. We witnessed deep hunger for the Word, and many surrendered their lives to Christ,” a mission leader shared.
Among the life-changing moments were 206 individuals undergoing water baptism and 166 receiving Holy Ghost baptism, often during intense prayer and worship sessions. In addition, 420 people rededicated their lives to Christ, rekindling their faith and commitment.
However, the mission did not come without its challenges. Some individuals were skeptical of the message, while others who initially agreed to be baptized failed to follow through. A few shared that past experiences had driven them away from the church, though they declined to elaborate.
Despite these setbacks, the impact of the Akim Oda Missions was undeniable. The joint effort of PENSA-UPSA and the Jesus Rescue Team brought spiritual renewal, hope, and transformation to hundreds.
Indeed, the Akim Oda mission stands as a testament to the power of unity in ministry and the life-changing potential of intentional evangelism.
