Christabel Akweley Lamptey Crowned Miss Tourism Ghana 2025
Christabel Akweley Lamptey, a final-year Bachelor of Science in Administration student at the University of Ghana, has been crowned Miss Tourism Ghana 2025, representing the Ashanti Region. After weeks of intense competition, she emerged victorious, earning the prestigious crown.
Speaking at the grand finale, the Head of Operations for Miss Tourism Ghana, Madam Sedinam Atsyor Delight, described this year’s event as an exciting journey that tested contestants through various stages including Regional Costume, Regional Cooking, Cultural Debate, Swimwear Competition, The Read Ghana Night, GTP and Lush Hair Fashion Show, and ultimately the Grand Finale.

She congratulated Christabel and her two runner-ups, acknowledging the efforts of all contestants. “The crown is not just about beauty; it is about courage, resilience, and the will to make a difference in society. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, but I wish Christabel nothing but the best,” she said.
Madam Delight also encouraged young girls across Ghana to participate in future editions, noting that the competition provides opportunities for personal growth, confidence building, and skill development. She further expressed appreciation to sponsors and partners who contributed to the success of the 2025 edition, while stressing the importance of women empowerment in Ghana.
“It’s time to change the narrative,women are not only meant for the kitchen; they can excel in leadership and governance as well,” she emphasized.
In her acceptance speech, Christabel expressed joy and humility at her win, stating that she did not anticipate the crown but believes it is the will of God. She highlighted her creativity, compassion, and intelligence as qualities that set her apart.
Christabel pledged to use her platform to champion education in rural communities by providing educational materials, while also empowering women and tackling teenage pregnancy through symposiums and soft skills training. “I am determined to make an impact in society, with or without resources. My goal is to inspire children and give women a stronger voice in Ghana,” she said.
She extended her gratitude to the Miss Tourism Ghana organizers, her supporters, and all who contributed to her success, describing the experience as “transformative and impactful.”
