‎Ghana Armed Forces Cautions Media Over Speculative Coverage of Military Helicopter Crash ‎

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has issued a firm warning to media houses and social commentators to refrain from engaging in speculative reporting regarding the recent military helicopter crash.

‎In a press statement, the GAF emphasized that unverified information not only misleads the public but also undermines ongoing investigations into the tragic incident. The Armed Forces urged journalists to rely solely on official updates and respect the sensitivity of the matter, especially considering the families of the victims.

‎“Speculation and misinformation can cause unnecessary panic and distress. We appeal to the media to exercise responsibility and uphold the highest standards of professionalism,” the statement read.

‎The GAF further assured the public that comprehensive details about the crash will be made available as soon as investigations are concluded. The military reiterated its commitment to transparency while safeguarding national security interests.

‎The helicopter crash, which occurred earlier this week, has drawn national attention and prompted expressions of condolence from leaders and citizens across the country.
