‎Accra came alive on Saturday, August 30, 2025, as the second edition of The VL Exposure unfolded under the theme “Beyond Boundaries” and the topic “Opportunities for Growth.” The event brought together policymakers, entrepreneurs, youth leaders, corporate executives, and community changemakers in a vibrant celebration of resilience, innovation, and empowerment.

Delivering the keynote, Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, urged young people to embrace authenticity, resilience, and brand identity as vital tools for success. Drawing from his own journey from university entrepreneur to cabinet minister, he emphasized the importance of self-discovery:

‎“There can only be one Samuel Nartey George. Discover what is unique about you and nurture it,” he said, adding that brand identity often outweighs mere product strength.

‎He also highlighted government initiatives such as the One Million Coders Programme and ongoing reforms to strengthen Ghana’s digital economy through 15 new laws.

‎Founder of VL Exposure, Victoria Lebene Osafo-Nkansah, outlined the programme’s achievements, noting that 31 beneficiaries received free training this year in vocational and administrative skills, including wig-making, tailoring, bakery, makeup artistry, and office administration.

‎“Our youth are often slow in embracing opportunities, but this initiative proves that transformation is possible when raw talent is given a chance,” she said, adding that within a decade, VL Exposure aims to go global.

‎One of the beneficiaries, Beulah Oppong, shared her testimony as a bakery trainee.

‎“It took just one week of back-to-back training, and now I am confident I can start my own bakery,” she said, encouraging young people to begin their entrepreneurial journeys early.

‎Adding her voice, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, called on young people, particularly women,to embrace entrepreneurship and self-development. She recounted her efforts in vocational training, including the provision of over 200 sewing machines and 2,000 hairdressing kits, which have since benefited more than 4,000 students in her constituency.

‎“This is how you get rid of poverty ,by creating something not just for yourself but for others, because we are building a nation,” she said.

‎Hon. Cudjoe revealed that her initiatives had already created 300 jobs, with salaries ranging from GHS1,000 to GHS5,000. She encouraged the youth to pursue their dreams with discipline and creativity, even in small ventures.

‎Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), praised the MP’s journey, describing it as “exceptional and unique,” while citing her rise from a domestic worker to a successful entrepreneur as an inspiration for the next generation.

‎In a similar spirit, Captain (Rtd) Prince Kofi Amoabeng, founder of the PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation, shared his entrepreneurial journey marked by setbacks, persistence, and resilience. From a modest start with one table and three chairs, his company Unique Trust grew into one of Ghana’s most respected financial institutions, employing more than 2,500 people.

‎“Time is life’s most limited resource,” Amoabeng remarked. “Respecting clients’ time means respecting their humanity.”

‎The event closed with a renewed commitment to creating platforms that empower Ghana’s youth to dream boldly, act purposefully, and thrive “beyond boundaries.”
