The Little Drop Lifeline Community Foundation has successfully organized the fifth edition of its annual Christmas on the Street outreach, bringing joy, unity, and renewed hope to residents of Mbemu, Kokoado, and Tawura communities.
The initiative, which forms part of the foundation’s commitment to uplifting deprived communities, was designed to enable beneficiaries to experience the love of Christ through fellowship, shared meals, and meaningful community engagement. Children, the elderly, and families gathered in large numbers to celebrate the Christmas season in an atmosphere marked by compassion, care, and togetherness.
As part of the outreach, the foundation distributed food, drinks, and educational materials to support children’s learning and ease the burden on families within the communities. The gesture was warmly received, with residents expressing gratitude for the foundation’s consistent support over the years.
Speaking to the press, the Chief Executive Director and Founder of the Little Drop Lifeline Community Foundation, Mrs. Sandra Barnes Ofori, called on non-governmental organizations, institutions, and other stakeholders to intensify support for deprived rural communities. She emphasized that such collaborative efforts are crucial to accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the area of poverty reduction.

She further reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to expanding its outreach to more rural communities across Ghana, with the support of donors and government collaboration. According to her, collective action remains the most effective way to address poverty and inequality in underserved areas.
Mrs. Ofori also announced the launch of the Good News Department of the foundation,an initiative aimed at educating children in various communities on moral values, discipline, and essential life principles to help nurture a responsible and fulfilled future generation.
Adding his voice, the community chief, Nana Kofi Adams, expressed deep appreciation to the foundation for its continuous interventions and the positive impact on the lives of children and families. He described the recently constructed tap water system as a long-awaited dream and a life-changing development for the community.
However, Nana Kofi Adams used the occasion to appeal to the government and development partners to address the community’s pressing need for electricity, noting that access to power would significantly improve education, security, and economic activities.
The event once again reaffirmed the Little Drop Lifeline Community Foundation’s dedication to grassroots development, demonstrating how targeted community-based interventions can bring lasting transformation and hope to vulnerable populations.
