The Little Drop Lifeline Community Foundation has successfully held the 5th edition of its annual Christmas on the Street outreach, bringing hope, compassion, and sustainable development to the Mbemu, Kokoado, and Tawura communities in Ghana.

‎As a major highlight of the event, the foundation officially commissioned a newly constructed running tap water system for the beneficiary communities.

‎ The project triggered widespread jubilation among residents, many of whom have endured decades of hardship relying on unsafe stream water for drinking and household use.

‎The provision of clean, accessible water represents a significant milestone in improving public health, sanitation, and overall living conditions in the area.

‎Speaking to the press, the Chief Executive Director and Founder of the Little Drop Lifeline Community Foundation, Mrs. Sandra Barnes Ofori, underscored the importance of collective action in addressing rural deprivation.

‎She called on non-governmental organizations, institutions, and development partners to intensify their support for underserved communities to help fast-track the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of poverty alleviation and access to basic social services.

‎Mrs. Ofori also announced the launch of the foundation’s Good News Department, a new initiative dedicated to educating children in various communities on moral values, discipline, and essential life principles. According to her, the program is designed to nurture responsible, purpose-driven, and fulfilled future leaders.

‎Expressing his appreciation, the community chief, Nana Kofi Adams, commended the foundation for its continuous commitment to the welfare of children and families in the area. He described the clean water project as a “dream come true” and a life-changing intervention that will have lasting benefits for the community.

However, Nana Kofi Adams used the opportunity to appeal to the government and development partners to address the community’s pressing need for electricity. He emphasized that access to power would significantly improve education, security, healthcare delivery, and local economic activities.

‎The 5th edition of Christmas on the Street once again reaffirmed the Little Drop Lifeline Community Foundation’s mission to combine compassion, faith, and sustainable development in transforming lives across Ghana’s most vulnerable communities.
