‎Ghana Code Club Unveils "Coding and AI Without Computers" to Accelerate National Digital Transformation ‎

‎

As Ghana pushes toward a robust digital economy, a major hurdle remains: the infrastructure gap. While the vision for a tech-savvy youth is clear, many basic schools still grapple with a lack of computer labs, unstable electricity, and limited internet access.

‎In a strategic move to bypass these obstacles, Ghana Code Club has officially launched its "Coding and AI Without Computer" initiative,a practical, scalable solution designed to align with the government’s national education agenda.

A Timely Intervention for a Digital Future
‎The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation have consistently voiced their commitment to integrating coding and robotics into the national curriculum. However, the reality on the ground often tells a different story.

‎"The launch is not merely a product unveiling," says Ernestina Edem Appiah, Founder of Ghana Code Club. "It is a policy-relevant demonstration of how Ghana can begin nationwide coding education now."

‎Empowering Teachers, Reducing Inequality With over a decade of experience in the EdTech space, Ghana Code Club recognizes that human capital is just as vital as hardware.

A core pillar of this new initiative is progressive capacity building for teachers. By equipping educators with the confidence to teach computational thinking, even in the absence of a screen, the program aims to:
‎Close the Gap: Reduce the educational inequality between well-resourced urban schools and underserved rural communities.

Ensure Inclusivity: Ensure that "no child is left behind" while the state continues its long-term infrastructure development.
‎Foster Logic & Creativity: Teach the fundamental logic behind AI and algorithms using tangible, unplugged methodologies.

‎

Complementing Government Efforts
‎The "Coding and AI Without Computer" model is intended to complement, not replace, government efforts. By providing a "ready-to-go" framework, Ghana Code Club offers a pathway for schools to start their digital journey today,

‎As Ghana prepares its young population for the global digital marketplace, this initiative serves as a reminder that innovation isn't just about the latest hardware,it’s about the accessibility of knowledge.
