‎In a major move to deepen financial inclusion across Ghana, Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) has announced a significant expansion of its agent banking network. This initiative aims to bring secure, reliable, and convenient banking services directly to the doorstep of individuals and local businesses nationwide.

‎CBG’s Managing Director, Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey, revealed that the bank has already successfully onboarded 168 agents across the country.

This is just the beginning of an aggressive growth strategy:
‎By the end of this year: Scaling to 1,000 agents.
‎By 2028: Targeting a total network of 8,000 agents.

‎This expansion underscores CBG’s core commitment to supporting community growth and local enterprises. By bridging the gap between traditional banking and unbanked populations, the initiative is set to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s broader economic development.

‎Emphasizing the vision behind the rollout, Dr. Kwetey stated:
‎"This program is more than just a launch; it is a decisive step toward empowering communities and supporting local businesses."

‎With this rapidly growing agent network, CBG is positioning itself as a pivotal driver of accessible banking in Ghana, ensuring that economic opportunities reach every corner of the nation.
