The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially signaled a new era for youth development, announcing a landmark three-year partnership with Procus Ghana Limited.

The agreement, signed on May 28, 2026, at the GFA Headquarters, officially launches the Kivo Juvenile U-17 Champions League.

‎This collaboration aims to restructure the grassroots talent pipeline by providing a structured, competitive framework for U-17 clubs nationwide.

‎How the Competition Works

‎The new league is designed to bridge the gap between local talent and professional scouting. The path to the national championship will follow a two-tier structure:

‎Regional Qualifiers: Affiliated U-17 clubs will first compete within their respective Regional Football Associations.

‎National Championship: Regional winners will advance to a high-stakes national stage, offering a national platform for emerging players to showcase their skills.

‎Beyond competition, the partnership includes a comprehensive equipment support initiative, providing essential gear, including jerseys and football boots, directly to participating youth clubs.

‎Leadership Perspectives

‎GFA Vice President Mark Addo, representing President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, emphasized the strategic importance of the deal. “The future of Ghana football starts at the grassroots,” Addo stated, commending Procus Ghana for their investment in the nation’s footballing infrastructure.
