True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries Hosts Career Conference to Empower Students at Odorgonno SHS

 True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries (NGO), in partnership with Odorgonno Senior High School, has organized the "Navigating Your Career Path Conference" under the theme, "Your Passion, Your Path, Your Future," to equip students with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed career choices.


The conference, which formed part of activities marking the 13th Anniversary of the ministry, brought together educationists, career coaches, school authorities, and students to discuss the importance of career guidance, technical skills, and personal development.


Speaking at the event, the Founder and President of True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries, Minister Vincent Anowie, said many young people struggle to identify their talents and often face pressure to pursue careers that do not reflect their passions or abilities.

He urged parents to support their children's aspirations by helping them discover their strengths instead of imposing career choices. He also called on teachers to work closely with parents and appealed to the Government of Ghana to post professional career counselors to schools across the country to guide students in making informed decisions about their future.


Minister Anowie noted that the positive response from students reinforces the need to expand the initiative to more schools across Ghana as part of the ministry's commitment to youth empowerment and national development.


The Assistant Head Administrator of Odorgonno Senior High School, Mr. Eric Bimpong, emphasized the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), describing it as a key pillar for Ghana's economic growth. He encouraged schools to collaborate with NGOs and other organizations that provide practical learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Vocational Skills Coach Madam Ednora Abena Yobouet also called for skills training to become a central component of Ghana's educational system. She stressed that increased investment, effective mentorship, and proper supervision of vocational programmes would help reduce youth unemployment and prepare graduates for self-employment.

Students who participated in the conference welcomed the initiative and called for greater emphasis on practical skills within the national curriculum to better prepare young people for the job market.




The conference ended with a renewed call for stronger collaboration among government, educational institutions, parents, NGOs, and development partners to equip Ghanaian youth with both academic excellence and practical skills for the future.
