Groom Young Africa Network Equips Students at Bright Bridge School Complex with Practical Skills

ACCRA, GHANA — Month of August has observed as International Day of Awareness of the Special Development Needs and Challenges of Landlocked Developing Countries .




Therefore ,Groom Young Africa Network (GYAN) In an effort to address youth unemployment and social vices, the Groom Young Africa Network (GYAN) has successfully conducted its "Catch Them Young" skills training program for students at the Bright Bridge School Complex.



The initiative aims to empower young Africans through practical, hands-on training designed to foster self-reliance and problem-solving skills.


Speaking to the media, GYAN President Rev. Michael Azaglo emphasized the urgency of engaging adolescents during their formative years—specifically between the ages of 11 and 13—to steer them away from crime, teenage pregnancy, and social delinquency.

"Idle hands are the devil's workshop. We want to see African youth grow to become responsible adults," Rev. Azaglo stated. "Until the mindset changes, nothing will change. 


“We aim to prepare students for the global market by equipping them to become problem solvers rather than job seekers."




Rev. Azaglo also called on educational institutions, from junior high schools to tertiary institutions across Africa, as well as like-minded individuals, to partner with GYAN in expanding the program.


Representing the proprietor of Bright Bridge School Complex, Assistant Supervisor Cosmos Abonda expressed gratitude to GYAN for the training.

He highlighted the importance of prioritizing youth development and pledged the school's commitment to integrating hands-on skills training into its core curriculum.



Participating students also expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, committing to utilizing the newly acquired skills to build better futures.
