The center has already started receiving requests from MPs to train young people in their constituencies. "Some MPs have started contacting us to train young people in their constituencies. We are happy to partner with them to achieve this goal," Odartey said.

Mindful Steps Technical Training Center has a vision to become the best heavy duty equipment training institution in Ghana and beyond. "In five years, we want to be the best heavy duty equipment training institution in Ghana and beyond. We are already receiving requests from other countries, such as Cameroon and Liberia, to train their citizens. We are confident that we can achieve our vision," Odartey said.

Again he noted that The center faces challenges, including the high cost of fuel and spare parts, but Odartey is optimistic that they can overcome these challenges. "We are committed to our vision, and we are confident that we can overcome any challenges that come our way" he stated

The training program is part of the government's efforts to address unemployment in Ghana.

Mr. Odartey said, "We are committed to helping the government achieve its goal of reducing unemployment in Ghana. We believe that by providing young people with the skills they need to secure jobs, we can help promote economic growth and development in Ghana."

Eng. Christian Akoda

Furthermore Eng. Christian Akoda, Regional Director of TVET Service in the Volta Region also added that emphasized the importance of private sector partnership in education, particularly in skills delivery. According to Akoda, collaboration between the government and private sector is crucial for the development of educational infrastructure and skills training for the youth.

"This initiative is very important, because when it comes to education, there is a need for the private sector to partner government in the delivery of education, particularly skills delivery," Akoda stated.

Akoda stressed that skills acquisition is key to reducing unemployment among young people, creating jobs, and driving national development. "The new era demands that we give attention to skills delivery, skill acquisition, because this is the only way we can work to reduce the unemployment of the youth, to create jobs and also to develop ourselves as a country," he emphasized.

He encouraged graduates to focus on achieving academic skills acquisition, which would enable them to secure better support from the private sector. "It is important for all graduates to achieve their academic skills acquisition, because to shackle the private sector can be able to end the lack of support that we are in," Akoda noted.

By working together with the private sector, the government can provide skills training that improves the employability of young people and fosters self-employment and self-reliance. As Akoda pointed out, "Encouraging the youth to go into self-employment and self-reliance and work together with the private sector is essential for national development."

Sophia Abraham Obeng

Sophia Abraham Obeng and other graduates also added that they are proud of Mindful Steps Technical Training Center.

"A true excavation from a mine site, and I am happy to have joined such an amazing team," Sophia exclaimed, expressing her gratitude and enthusiasm for the training program.

.

Sophia's message to her fellow graduates and young people is clear: "Learn the excavator and do it. Don't let anything hold you back." Her words of encouragement and determination serve as a testament to the impact of the training program in empowering young people with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their chosen careers.
