At the recent graduation ceremony of Eyisam Methodist Basic School in the Ekumfi District, the event was graced by Her Royal Majesty, Dr. Nana Ama Amissah III, Queen Mother of the Mankessim Traditional Area.
In her keynote address, Dr. Amissah III delivered a powerful message centered on education, discipline, and community responsibility.
She urged parents to be fully committed to the growth and development of their children, noting that investing in their education and moral upbringing today would result in lasting benefits for families and the nation at large.
Her Royal Majesty also highlighted the importance of personal hygiene among school-aged children and youth, calling on both boys and girls to adopt healthy habits that support their overall well-being. She praised the teaching staff of Eyisam Methodist Basic School for their dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders.
In a strong appeal to community leaders and policymakers, Dr.Nana Ama Amissah III condemned the infiltration of harmful drugs into Ghanaian communities. She warned that substance abuse is a major contributor to the increasing crime rate among young people. “Without proper control over what we introduce into our society, we risk losing an entire generation of potential leaders,” she cautioned.
The Queen Mother's message resonated deeply with attendees, reinforcing the critical role of education, parental guidance, and community vigilance in shaping a better future for Ghana’s youth.
