Excellent Kid International School Graduates Over 60 Pupils, Calls for Educational Reforms
Excellent Kid International School has celebrated another major milestone with the successful graduation of over 60 pupils from both Kindergarten 2 and Primary levels, marking the Class of 2025.
In a heartwarming and well-attended ceremony held at the school’s premises in Amasaman, the Proprietress of the institution, Mrs. Sandra Adjetey, expressed her profound gratitude to God for what she described as a “very educative and fulfilling ceremony.”
“I would describe this year’s graduation as very enriching, especially with the addition of a lively debate session, which added color and intellectual excitement to the event,” Mrs. Adjetey told the press.
She further highlighted the positive strides the school continues to make within the community, particularly in raising the standard of basic education, developing communication skills, and providing child-centered therapy for learners with special needs.
Mrs. Adjetey, however, used the opportunity to appeal to the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ministry of Finance to urgently address salary delays affecting teachers across the country. “Motivated teachers are the backbone of quality education. Timely salary payments and provision of appropriate teaching resources are crucial for Ghana’s educational growth,” she stated.
She also voiced concerns over frequent changes in the school curriculum by government authorities, noting that such inconsistencies have impacted student performance negatively. She advocated for a more creative and inclusive learning approach within the national curriculum to cater to children with varying learning abilities.
“We need to integrate more creative arts and practical learning to help students who struggle with traditional book-based academics,” she emphasized.
Mrs. Adjetey assured the Amasaman community of the school’s unwavering commitment to delivering excellence in education and nurturing the full potential of every child.
Also speaking at the event, one of the school’s teachers, Mr. Akins Kobi, stressed the importance of talent in shaping the future of students. “Many people pursue formal education but ultimately depend on their natural talents to build successful careers. Parents should not overlook their children's potential but support them fully,” he advised.
The Class of 2025 graduation ceremony was not only a celebration of academic achievement but also a call for a more holistic and supportive educational system in Ghana
